Between updates regarding the 2020 Fall Semester campus reopening procedures and other university-wide communications, our Facebook and Twitter channels were utilized in keeping the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø community informed. Last month was a prime example of how our audience looks to the university’s social media accounts to find the latest information about what’s happening on or around campus, in real time.

On Facebook and Twitter, two posts that received the highest engagement were regarding actions the university took in response to vile, hurtful messages painted on the Rock that were threatening to our ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø community, specifically our Black community.

Facebook:

Our top-performing post on Facebook shared President Todd Diacon’s email to the campus community announcing the anti-racism actions the university would take in response to the messages on the Rock.

Twitter:

Our most-liked tweet was the 19th remembrance of Sept. 11, 2001.
