ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is sending two teams to the Air Race Classic thanks to generous donors

Generous donors have made it possible for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to increase its presence at the upcoming Air Race Classic as they go for a third win in a row.

Fork in the Road Food Truck

University Culinary Services' Fork in the Road food truck is returning to Risman Plaza for lunch on Wednesdays, from June 12-Aug. 7.

After a national search, the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Museum is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Sarah Spinner Liska as its new director, effective July 1, 2024.

Celebrate Juneteenth Jubilee at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø June 18, 2024

Juneteenth Jubilee will be held Tuesday June 18 from 11 a.m.– 1:30 p.m. on the Kent Campus, Student Green/Risman Plaza. It is free and open to the public.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø won the food waste category in the Campus Race to Zero Waste national competition.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø earned first-place honors in the annual Campus Race to Zero Waste, a nationwide college campus recycling competition.

Melissa Fenn, M.Ed., ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø senior advisor II

Melissa Fenn, senior advisor II in the College of Nursing, was recently awarded the university's inaugural Distinguished Advisor Award by University Advising and the Kent Academic Advising Support and Advising Association (KASADA). 

AAAPI faculty and staff marked AAPI Heritage Month with a speaker, Lynn Itagaki, Ph.D.

In 1977, the U.S. government established a time to recognize Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders and their accomplishments. The commemoration started as a week but in the 1990s evolved into a monthlong celebration.

The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Board of Trustees approved the updated ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Complete College Ohio Campus Completion Plan as part of a state and institutional commitment to increase dramatically the number of college degrees awarded in Ohio. The plan was approved during the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held May 22.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act affects millions at airports large and small including in the Akron-Canton Airport, the Akron Fulton Airport and the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Airport.
