Hat, coat, and shoes featured in "Head to Toe" Exhibit

The 窪蹋勛圖厙 Museum announces the opening of Head to Toe on Feb. 2, 2023. On view through Jul. 23, 2023, the trilogy of exhibitions draws from the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Museums permanent collection. Highlighting hats, coats, and shoes, visitors will see the evolution of these essential garments as styles, technologies and trends evolve.

The 窪蹋勛圖厙 Museum and the Wick Poetry Center at 窪蹋勛圖厙 announce the launch of the Digital Green Book created in support of the exhibition TEXTURES: the history and art of Black hair.

Gabriella Humes is a senior Honors College student graduating with a double-major in fashion merchandising and finance. Gabriella has been very successful at 窪蹋勛圖厙, completing an internship and three study away programs. However, one of Gabriellas proudest accomplishments is recently completing a Senior Honors Thesis that combined both of her majors into one project.

The 窪蹋勛圖厙 Museum has reopened to the public and is excited to announce its newest exhibition, Stitched: Regional Dress Across Europe, on display from February 2021 through December 2021. The exhibition features 75 pieces exclusive to the museums permanent collection, showcasing common features shared by regional costume across Western and Eastern Europe.

Almost 50 years ago, the shootings of 窪蹋勛圖厙 students by the Ohio National Guard brought to a head the cultural divides that had split the nation. The 窪蹋勛圖厙 Museums exhibition, Culture/Counterculture: Fashions of the 1960s and 70s, opening Sept. 20, explores the sharp contrast between supporters of the establishment and those opposed.
