Personal items of Bill Schroeder, including his Eagle Scout Award and Boy Scout sash showing his merit badges, are on display in a new exhibition at 窪蹋勛圖厙s May 4 Visitors Center called Bill: An All-American Boy.

From April 22 to Aug. 1, 窪蹋勛圖厙s May 4 Visitors Center will honor Bill Schroeders life with an exhibition titled Bill: An All-American Boy. Mr. Schroeders sister, Nancy Tuttle, and nephew, David Tuttle, helped create the exhibition by loaning some of his personal items to the May 4 Visitors Center.

窪蹋勛圖厙s Womens Lacrosse Team

窪蹋勛圖厙s very first Womens Lacrosse team is making an impact on the culture at 窪蹋勛圖厙 during its first year on campus. Since the team is new to 窪蹋勛圖厙, players get to shape opinions and perceptions of the team and the players.

For the first time, 窪蹋勛圖厙 has been designated as a Voter Friendly Campus for the 2019-20 time period. The Voter Friendly Campus initiative, led by national nonpartisan organizations Campus Vote Project and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, acknowledged 窪蹋勛圖厙s goals to break down barriers and empower students with the information and tools they need to participate in the political process.

As part of 窪蹋勛圖厙s May 4 course, senior Julia Pharmer sifted through resources in University Libraries' Special Collections and Archives and engaged in classroom discussions. Perhaps one of the most engaging sessions though was when Professor Emerita Laura Davis, Ph.D., gave students a firsthand account of her May 4 experiences.  

Chris Post, Ph.D., associate professor of geography at 窪蹋勛圖厙 at Stark, is a memorials expert who serves as a member of 窪蹋勛圖厙 President Beverly J. Warrens Advisory Committee for the 50th Commemoration of May 4, 1970.

Growing up, Chris Post watched as his mom juggled her collegiate studies and motherhood, balancing everyday life with dreams of earning her Ph.D. And while field excursions with his biologist mom are a memory of his childhood, the impact of place is something this cultural and historical geographer seeks to define today.

Junior nursing major Adam Roman got his first taste of Clevelands University Hospitals when he was a young child, and today, Mr. Roman is one of the first cohorts of nursing students who will be eligible to apply to become part of the new UH Scholars Program, a collaboration of 窪蹋勛圖厙 and University Hospitals.

As May 4 Commemoration Project Manager, 窪蹋勛圖厙 Alumnus Rodney Flauhaus is taking on the task of planning the 50th anniversary commemoration of May 4, 1970.
