In the spring of 1970, two-time 窪蹋勛圖厙 alumna and registered nurse Pat Gless was a junior in 窪蹋勛圖厙s inaugural nursing program. While in class on Monday, May 4, a professor rushed into her classroom and warned students who could leave campus to do so. Fifty years later, Gless now reflects on the events surrounding that tragedy and how they have impacted her life and nursing career.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, the 窪蹋勛圖厙 fight song blared down Main Street, the city of Kent was flooded with blue and gold, alumni and friends gathered and reminisced about their 窪蹋勛圖厙 days, fans packed the stadium to cheer on their beloved Golden Flashes and the entire campus boomed with 窪蹋勛圖厙 pride.

Due to an overwhelming response for free tickets for the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Presidential Speaker Series featuring Bob Woodward on May 4, the university has moved the event to the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center).
On Saturday, May 4, legendary journalist Bob Woodward comes to 窪蹋勛圖厙 as part of the Presidential Speaker Series. He will speak at 7 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom.
