Student Organizations
Why Get Involved?
Getting involved in a student organization is a great way to enrich your college experience. Student organizations provide opportunities for learning outside the classroom; for meeting new people; for sharing and exploring interests; for broadening your point of view; and for developing life, work and leadership skills. Also students that are involved in student organizations are more likely to get better grades, be more successful in their academic program, be more likely to stay in school and graduate on time, and feel more satisfied with their college experience.
The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Department of Sociology and Criminology houses several student organizations, including:
- Alpha Kappa Delta
- Alpha Phi Sigma
- Lambda Alpha Epsilon
- Sociologists for Women in Society (SWS)
- Undergraduate Students Sociological Collective
