Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-13) joined ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø leaders and faculty to celebrate more than $3.7 million in federal research funding awarded to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø over the past year.
The funding was spread out across 12 separate projects funded by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Health and Human Services, the latter mostly via the National Institutes of Health.
On Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, Ryan brought a ceremonial check for the total amount of the grants — $3,723,765 — all awarded over the past six to eight months. He lauded ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's research impact, and spent time afterward speaking with some of the funded researchers. Read more in the .
Several factors — including, age, gender, and medical history — determine how a child processes a trauma and what treatments may be most effective at preventing long-term psychological distress. But what role do parents play?

Single molecule biophysics sounds complicated because it is. Then again, so is cancer.
So it makes sense that one of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's molecular biophysicistswould take on the most notorious challenge in medical science.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s only theoretical astrophysicist just landed a grant that will help her to better understand dense stars while encouraging young female scientists to reach for them.
