All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø group's trip to Rwanda.
Members of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø delegation attending , a global peace conference in Kigali, Rwanda, were treated to a soaring show by this mother with her baby from a group of local velvet monkeys. Velvet monkeys are common throughout East Africa and live in rural and urban environments.
The conference is sponsored by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s Board of Trustees approved ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s recruitment throughout Africa.
