Four members of the Kent Wind Ensemble, Jake McQuaid, Emily Butz, Tylor Davis and Brett Graves, will be part of the 2022 College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA) Intercollegiate Band for the North Central Division Conference.
Announced as a new ensemble earlier this year, the inaugural class of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Youth Winds make their debut Saturday, Nov. 6 under the baton of guest conductor Anthony Maiello. The concert is part of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Glauser School of Music’s annual Wind Band Conductor’s Symposium beginning Nov. 5 and running through Nov. 7.
In late Sept., several ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Glauser School Music Education faculty members presented their latest work during research poster sessions at the biennial Symposium of the Society for Music Teacher Education (SMTE). The 2021 symposium was held virtually.
A new youth wind ensemble, led by the Glauser School's Wendy K. Matthews and colleagues Sarah Kois (M.M. '20) and Garrett Doty, comes to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in fall 2021.
