Dedication of Stark Campus Trail and Bench

A campus trail and community bench commemorate the productive partnership between ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø at Stark, Stark State College and Stark Parks. 

Chris Post, Ph.D., professor of geography at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø at Stark, will serve as the 2024 speaker for the Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series, a part of the university's annual May 4 Commemoration events.

The lecture series created in 2022 to honor the legacy of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Professor Emeritus of Sociology Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., will feature Professor of Geography Chris Post, Ph.D., presenting â€œDeveloping and Interpreting the Wounded Student Markers at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø†as this year’s selected speaker. The Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series and Luncheon will be held on May 3.

On June 1, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø was approved to move forward with the purchase of $143,233 worth of equipment through the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Regionally Aligned Priorities in Delivering Skills (RAPIDS 4) program.

Chris Post, Ph.D., associate professor of geography at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø at Stark, is a memorials expert who serves as a member of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø President Beverly J. Warren’s Advisory Committee for the 50th Commemoration of May 4, 1970.

Growing up, Chris Post watched as his mom juggled her collegiate studies and motherhood, balancing everyday life with dreams of earning her Ph.D. And while field excursions with his biologist mom are a memory of his childhood, the impact of place is something this cultural and historical geographer seeks to define today.
