HR Training Registration System Name Change


ABC Signup, the registration platform supported by Human Resources, Training and Development department, is changing its name to Learning Stream. Learning Stream's registration management solution is designed to handle the unique challenges of education and training professionals across industries. Justice Technology Consulting LLC is the company behind ABC Signup and Learning Stream. Although the look and feel will be different for end-users, the new registration tool remains user-friendly. You will still use your FlashLine credentials to log in.

KSU Appreciates You Visits Stark Campus

This event is for you - for all you do! Join us on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the Science and Nursing Building, Room 101, as we celebrate everyone who makes ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø a great place to work. . 


Employee Appreciation Day Coming Soon (NEW DATE)

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. when the Kent Student Center Ballroom will turn into a fun-filled employee appreciation event.


In addition to the daytime festivities, a special evening Employee Appreciation event will be held for second- and third-shift workers from 10-11:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom on March 20. More information to come.
 

Office Support Staff Recognition Program
The event will be held Wednesday, April 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Kent Student Center Ballroom. This luncheon recognizes university employees who provide office support throughout ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's campuses. Invitations will be mailed the first week in April. Managers and supervisors should schedule coverage for their respective units so invitees may attend.

Employee Wellness


Gaining Resiliency, Optimism and Confidence

The session will be livestreamed; all-employee; all-campus access


This lunch-and-learn opportunity will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from noon to 1 p.m. Employees may participate on the Kent Campus in 107 Heer Hall or via livestream to any location with internet access. 


Our presenter will be Thomas O'Reilly, M.S., PCC, from Impact Solutions. Mr. O'Reilly will examine the human traits of resiliency, optimism and confidence. He will discuss and explore what promotes or erodes these traits in a person's life, and how to gain new skills to develop resiliency, optimism and confidence during tough times.

All employees are welcome to participate. For full-time, benefits-eligible employees participating in the , this session is worth 10 Tier Two wellness reward points for 2018.

 

Final On-site Health Screenings at Heer Hall on the Kent Campus

As part of the Wellness Your Way employee incentive program, all full-time, benefits-eligible employees are invited to attend an onsite health screening (you do not have to be covered by the university-sponsored health plan to take advantage of this onsite service).


Screenings conducted between September 2017 and April 30, 2018, will go toward the employee Tier One requirements for 2018. Once all requirements are complete for Tier One, eligible employees will receive their $150 wellness award. The deadline for completing Tier One is April 30, 2018.


If you have not already scheduled an on-site health screening, note that sessions fill up quickly. You must register in advance for your appointment on the Be Well Portal at portal.bewelldata.com. Remaining dates are as follows:

  • Jan. 31 from 10 p.m.-midnight (geared toward 3rd shift)
  • Feb. 21 from 3-5 p.m. (geared toward 2nd shift)
  • Feb. 8 from 7:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Feb. 13 from 6-8 a.m. 
  • Feb. 22 from 7:30-10:30 a.m.

. Employees who have completed a health screening on or after Sept. 1, 2017, do not have to complete another one for 2018. Also, if you prefer to have your health screening done in your physician's office, simply print the Physician Screening Form from the Be Well website at , have your physician complete the form, and send the results directly to Be Well at the address shown on the form by April 30.

Take a Tour of Impact Solutions
 

The IMPACT Solutions Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers an array of resources and services available to employees and their families. IMPACT can assist with various work/life issues, such as eldercare, personal finances, family or marriage counseling, smoking cessation, resiliency skills training and so much more.
 

By participating in this informational webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 27, from 10-11 a.m., you will learn much more about how Impact Solutions can support you with a range of services and resources that promote healthier, more balanced living. With its enhanced web portal, IMPACT will introduce you to new resources, such as the Savings Center, Financial Fitness Center and Personal Growth resources.


This webinar will be led by Lisa Kirby, a member of the IMPACT Solutions Team. Ms. Kirby will guide you in learning all about these valuable resources and answer questions during this interactive webinar, which is encouraged for all full- and part-time employees and their supervisors and managers. For individuals participating in the , this session is worth 10 Tier Two Wellness Your Way points.

New Adobe Creative Cloud Agreement


The Division of Information Services is pleased to announce it has finalized an agreement with Adobe Systems Inc. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø faculty and staff can now get discounted Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions for their university-owned computers. The cost to their departments is only $100 per year per subscription. Please work with your local support personnel to acquire a subscription. If your department is not able to provide you with a subscription, you may purchase one for your personal computer for only $75 per year. 

 

In addition, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students can purchase Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions for only $75 per year. Students must purchase their subscriptions at . Please encourage them to do so. This agreement will save ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students more than $1 million per year.

 

In support of the Adobe Creative Cloud agreement, Information Services  will be offering additional workshops on Adobe applications. These workshops will be featured on various days and times throughout the semester, including two Adobe Days on Feb. 2 and April 6, where all workshops will feature an Adobe application. Additionally, Information Services provides full access to Lynda.com (via ), which has a multitude of self-paced online video tutorials on all Adobe applications in the suite.

 

As always, TechHelp workshops and access to are free to all ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students, faculty and staff.
