The School of Fashion is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Xingqiu Lou as an assistant professor beginning in Fall 2023!
Dr. Lou holds a B.S. degree in fashion design and engineering from the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology. She pursued an M.S. degree in fashion and apparel studies from the University of Delaware and an M.S. degree in statistics from North Carolina State University. Dr. Lou also received a Ph.D. degree in textile technology management from North Carolina State University.
Before joining ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, Dr. Lou was an assistant professor at Washington State University. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Lou has taught courses in fashion merchandising, visual merchandising, supply chain management, and sustainability issues in the apparel and textile industry.
Dr. Lou’s research interests include issues relevant to technological advancements and sustainability in the fashion industry. Her work focuses on investigating the impact of innovative technologies on consumer experiences and the overall performance of the apparel supply chain. She also explores emerging sustainability issues in the textile and apparel industry, such as sustainable consumption, product life cycle analysis, and fashion circular economy.
