ϳԹ Alumna Tina Floyd Named 2019 Spirit of Women in Business Award Recipient

KENT, Ohio – Tina Floyd ’03, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Foods for The J.M. Smucker Company, is the recipient of the 2019 Spirit of Women in Business Award. Each year, the award is presented to an outstanding female alumna who excels in her profession while paving the way for women in business.

 

This year’s event will take place on Friday, March 8, 2019, on the ϳԹ campus.

 

Floyd earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from ϳԹ in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from Walsh University.

 

Floyd is responsible for the Consumer and Natural Foods Strategic Business Areas and is a member of The J.M. Smucker Company Executive Leadership Team. Floyd formerly served as Vice President and General Manager, Away From Home, and has been with The J.M. Smucker Company for 24 years.

"Tina has achieved professional success and has demonstrated outstanding leadership in her positions at The J.M. Smucker Company.”

 

Floyd will be honored at the 2019 Spirit of Women in Business Conference on International Women’s Day, Friday, March 8. The conference will feature Paralympic medalist and New York Times bestselling author Bonnie St. John as keynote speaker. The author of seven books, St. John's most recent book, Micro-Resilience: Minor Shifts for Major Boosts in Focus, Drive and Energy, outlines a quick, easy and immediately effective program of tools and techniques to give readers a competitive edge in today's dynamic world of change and challenges.

 

In addition to the keynote address, the conference will feature lunch keynote speaker Aileen McManamon ’87, Founder and Managing Partner of 5T Sports Group. McManamon will present, “Leading a Triple Bottom Line Life.” In her time with 5T Sports Group, McManamon has worked with the Winter Olympic Games, Tour de France, German Motor Sports, Minor League Baseball, FIFA Women’s World Cup, Major League Soccer, the NFL and multiple World Cups in skiing, snowboarding and cycling.
